Dog-Friendly Cottage Near Ripon
Dogs are welcome inside, there’s a big garden to explore, and the walks start at the gate.
Made For Holidays With The Dog
We're dog people, and the cottage is set up for a break where the dog comes too. Dogs are welcome inside the cottage, and the garden is big enough for a proper explore.
You don't need to get in the car for a walk. Quiet lanes and footpaths start right outside, and there are riverside walks nearby. When you get back, the hot tub and sauna are waiting.
Please let us know how many dogs you're bringing when you book.
Dog Walks Near The Cottage
A few of our favourites. Ask us when you arrive and we'll point you in the right direction.
From The Door
North Stainley
Quiet lanes and field paths straight from the cottage. Ideal for the first walk of the morning and the last one at night.
Hackfall Wood
Grewelthorpe
A fantastic walk in nature all year round, with follies and waterfalls in the gorge. It can be muddy in winter and there's a steep gradient, but finish with a pint at The Crown Inn in Grewelthorpe and it can't be beaten.
West Tanfield
River Ure
A pretty riverside village close by. Walk or cycle over, then rehydrate at The Bull Inn.
Fountains Abbey
Near Ripon
Miles of parkland paths around the abbey ruins and water garden. Check the National Trust site for dog rules in each area.
“We had a lovely stay here (2 adults and 2 dogs). The outdoor space is absolutely gorgeous… There’s some lovely dog walks around the area and this was just what we were after.”Chloe, August 2026, via Airbnb
